Prime takes listeners/viewers into the eye of the storm while madness brews and quakes with intense drums and bass. His rhymes are factual and cut-throat, yet smooth enough for folks to relate to his personal and societal hysteria. Watch “Live From Hysteria” and connect with D Prime 215 below.

D Prime 215 returns for the 2nd video release of his “Sacred Mantra” EP.  “Reasons Why” produced by Has-Lo, is a tell-all into Prime’s world of emceeing, dating back to 93’.

D Prime 215 “Sacred Mantra” EP on Spotify

“Every artist has their “Reasons Why” they create. Some for the sake of it, as a means to an end, tell stories, impress others, or all the above. For me, it’s all the above. However, as I grow as a person it inevitably bleeds into my music. There’s a lot going on in the world that affects me in a way that may be different from others. It’s inevitable that I address it. Especially in my city of Philadelphia. Let it be gentrification, school closings, “misallocation” of funds for public schools & inner city, crime, questioning the prison system, or the school to prison pipeline to name a few. I see these things firsthand, and I wanted to make it evident that Philly is a lot more than merely cheesesteaks and the Liberty Bell. It’s Philly all day over here, the presentation may be different from what you’re used to. It’s more than simply “rap” to me, that being said I was out for blood on this.” – D Prime 215

The Philly native utilizes his mastered skillset of storytelling to embody the world around him, ongoing societal issues, as well as what he represents. In “Reasons Why” Prime vividly portrays reasons for putting his life into the pen and being a voice for those on the other side of the fence.  Bar for bar he breaks down gentrification, tainted school systems, inner-city crime hidden behind Philly’s tourist attractions, and other community distresses.

Has-Lo’s intense piano keys blended with soulful bass and drums invite listeners to feel the emotion and vibrations from Prime’s polished and compelling storytelling. Watch “Reasons Why” and connect with D Prime 215 and Has-Lo below.

Dumb Ugly release visuals for the first single off their debut album “Casket”, set to release on April 14th, 2019.

“Stay Dead” is a mini film luring viewers into their bizarre, ‘Clockwork Orange’ circus. It begins with an irate man calling an Uber to break free from his alcohol consuming, pregnant lover. He’s picked up by Biz Mighty and they veer off to grab partner in crime, Aayu for an unfathomable voyage. The duo holds the confused man at gunpoint forcing him to inhale unknown substances and once he regurgitates, the madness unfolds.

Biz delivers no filter, gut wrenching punchlines alongside Aayu while massacring scenes like ‘Natural Born Killers.’  The arrangement of aggressive and intense tones amplifies the rawness of “Stay Dead.” Aayu provides a psychedelic intermission of electronic thumping beats mixed with modern Hip-Hop cadences.

Controversial in deliverance, Dumb Ugly trigger thought provoking read between the lines, and caution tape scenarios that occur regularly in communities brimming with corruption and conceit.  Watch “Stay Dead” below.

Legendary music icon Doodlebug Cee-Knowledge presents up and coming singer, songwriter, and recording artist KROWN.  The Tri-State area talented and versatile artist delivers a modern flow of Funk and Alternative Hip-Hop for all generations of music purists and enthusiasts to embrace.

KROWN’s debut project “Nothing Lasts Forever” is available for free streaming and download. The mixtape is executively produced by Cee-Knowledge with contributing production by Quickly Quickly, Steve Young, Beatjoven, LA Soulchyld, RIVR, Oui Lele, Whitecliffs, Strkfr, Krapf, and Cairo.

“I chose this as the name for my first project because I feel like those words perfectly capture the stage I’m at in life right now. The theme of this project is saying goodbye to the old me, the way I used to be, the things I used to believe, the way I used to see the world. This is a compilation of songs that prior to this, I would’ve been too scared to show anyone, let alone the world. At 22, This not only marks the beginning to my career but the beginning of who I truly am and what I’m truly supposed to be doing in this world. Because as they say, Nothing Last Forever..”–KROWN

The leading single/video “Wassup” describes a young man looking for love while weeding out deceptive women and remaining focused on success. KROWN displays intermittent jazzy vocals and ear captivating lyrics over an arrangement of fused soul and effervescent production originally sampled from Donell Jone’s 1999 R&B hit “U Know What’s Up.”  Stream “Nothing Lasts Forever” on Bandcamp

About KROWN

KROWN’s movement in the music industry thus far hasn’t gone without notice or recognition.  His journey began early on in high school when he formed a rap group and released a few local hits. From there he scored several modeling gigs with BET, Phat Farm, and Nickelodeon. After a brief hiatus KROWN ventured out to Los Angeles to reinvent his musical journey and to evolve the record label and collective Uplifted World.

Steve ‘lets go guy’ Sxaks, a renowned producer, musician, engineer, and teacher links with young rising star and MC Kohn for the creation of M.A.D.E. This debut producer/MC collaboration spans beyond music. M.A.D.E is a movement and brand already sparking a blaze in Philly and Southern Jersey.  “I’m a strong lyricist with a positive message and I truly want to make a difference in the world. The movement which stands for Make A Difference Everyday, will have a huge impact on humanity.” -KOHN

The 9-track EP “New Dawn City” embodies classic storytelling, thought provoking lyricism, catchy anthems, and even something for the ladies.  “Welcome To New Dawn City” and “Ambition” are catchy anthem style records for clubs and house parties.  While the smooth, hypnotic flow of “Driveway” will wake the ladies and “Glo” will wake and motivate the masses to grind until they reach their shine. “M.A.D.E”, “City Limits”, “Trial”, and “Crash” are records filled with lyrical venom and hard truths about a come up, moving forward, and claiming a deserved stance in the music industry and life.

The transcendental chemistry between Kohn and Sxaks is a driving force set to take over indie Hip-Hop music.  The production stirs up a kaleidoscope of soundscapes and tones from jazz and funk to a fusion of old school meets new school cadences, to electric pulsating beats perfectly blended for a unique ‘ear milk’ deliverance.

“The Lovers Lyfe” is based on a true story that shows no matter how long or how far apart if its meant to be.” The film centers on the story of Nina, a young, single mother in Pittsburgh during the 1990s.

At just the tender age of 19, Nina must act with bravery and determination when she is faced with multiple challenges at once: losing her mother to cancer, parenting on her own, and supporting herself and her young daughter. While working in a Pittsburgh nightclub Nina meets Chris, a spirited young entrepreneur who shares Nina’s resolve for a better life. While time and circumstance drive the two apart, a chance Facebook message – sent nearly two decades after their first encounter – ultimately brings them back together.

Inspired by the events of Brooks’ own life, her goal in creating the series is to encourage others to overcome their greatest challenges, and remind them to never give up on love. “Who would have thought a simple Facebook message would rekindle a lost love in such an unforgettable way. Here’s the story of “The Lovers Lyfe”

“As a native of Pittsburgh, it is both a privilege and honor to film “The Lovers Lyfe” amid what is one of the most cinematic skylines anywhere in the world. I’m excited and blessed to film here in Pittsburgh, not only because of the talent and visual splendor of our city, but to help advance film in Pittsburgh for all artists, African-American performers and independent film producers.” –Nina Brooks

Emmy Award-winning film director Emmai Alaquiva, nationally-renowned actress Christina Cooper, and celebrated screenwriter Cambreisha Montgomery are among the cast and crew. With an emphasis on bringing African-American talent to the screen, “The Lovers Lyfe” spotlights the extraordinary abilities of artists from both Los Angeles and Pittsburgh. In addition to sharing her story and expanding opportunities for African-American artists, Brooks also hopes to strengthen Pittsburgh’s burgeoning footprint in the film and television industry.
